Lisa Shemon is a Senior Learning Experience Designer, working in a corporate setting. Graduating from Purdue University, Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Reading. This began what is now an extensive background in K-12 education. She completed her Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology in May 2019 at The University of Tampa.
Since graduating from UT, Lisa has sharpened her experience in curriculum development and Instructional Design in coporate settings, quickly creating trust from her clients to provide the best learning solutions for their needs.
Lisa has experience in professional education and maintained a goal of closing the gaps in educational achievements for learners. This shed light on the need for alternative learning modalities and environments for those who are unable to be successful in traditional settings. The learning and design theories that she has developed a passion for while completing her Master's degree can directly impact learners of any age. In her current corporate position, she has designed several online instructional modules as well as immersive instructor-led training.
Over the 30 years of participating in and observing the changes in teaching and learning methodology with the introduction of, and increasing demand for technology in the workplace, her M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology has been a logical step in growing as an education professional. Lisa currently resides in Tampa, Florida.
